Police request the public’s assistance identifying suspect in relation to an assault

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man in relation to an assault that occurred earlier this week in Halifax.

On July 14 at approximately 12:50 p.m., police received a report of an assault that occurred at the intersection of Dunbrack Street and Albert Walker Drive. A car was at the intersection in the left-hand lane when a black truck pulled up in the right-hand lane alongside the car. The driver of the black truck proceeded to throw an object from the driver’s-side window at the passenger-side window of the car causing the window to break. The truck then left the area, continuing along Dunbrack Street.

The driver of the truck is described as a white man, bald in his early twenties. The truck was possibly towing a trailer.

Police are asking anyone with information about the identity of the driver or the incident to call 902-490-5016. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.
