Please meet Newt! He is looking for a foster home. Newt is a diabetic cat and a part of our Long Term Foster/Palliative Care Program. What kind of fella is he?
Newt is a 16 year old cat with the inner spirit of a kitten. He is a playful, handsome boy with a bright personality. He is chatty and his voice will put a smile on your face. He isn’t much of a lap cat but he likes to be close and will hang out with you on the couch or bed all day and night. If you are there, Newt will be too! He is a wonderful companion just looking for a friend.
Newt is a diabetic who will require daily insulin shots but don’t let this scare you off. He is easy so giving him a quick needle on the scruff of his neck at mealtime is simple. Newt is so focused on his food that he will hardly notice.
Here is what his current foster Mom has to say about him:
“Around zoomie time, he is ready to be entertained and to interact with you. He very much appreciates a good dangling toy or laser, and is sure to make you laugh with his wild-eyed enthusiasm. He loves to explore, perch, lounge on window sills, and is a great yoga buddy! He is obsessed with meal time and always sings, twirls, and hops around to let you know how excited he is for food.”
