RCMP investigates fatal collision
At approximately 12:25 a.m. on June 1, police were notified of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 near Falmouth.
Windsor West Hants RCMP, fire and EHS attended the scene and found a pick-up truck and a tractor trailer. The pick-up truck had been travelling eastbound, lost control and veered sideways into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 22-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
A collision reconstructionist attended, and the RCMP continues to investigate. The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
