Assault with a Weapon
Patrol members of the Halifax Regional Police are investigating an assault with a weapon call that occurred last evening.
At approximately 6:02 p.m. April 25th, police responded to an disturbance call outside a residence in the 100-200 block of Caledonia Road in Dartmouth.
Officers attended and it was learned that two men became involved in a physical altercation outside. During the altercation, one of the men attacked another man with a chainsaw and tree trimmer. A third man intervened and stopped the altercation before anyone was injured. As a result, he was struck by a vehicle driven by a woman which appears to have jumped the roadside curb intending to strike the victim.
There were no serious injuries reported. A 45 year old Dartmouth man and 47 year old Lower Sackville woman were charged with the following and released, scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial court at a future date:
-Assault with a weapon
-Possession of weapons dangerous to the public,
all under the Criminal Code of Canada.
Assault with a Weapon
Patrol members of the Halifax Regional Police are investigating an assault with a weapon call that occurred last evening.
At approximately 6:32 p.m. April 25th, police responded to an assault call just outside of a Metro Transit Bus Stop located at 5251 Duke Street in Halifax.
Officers attended and learned that a male youth, while walking, was approached by three suspects from behind. They removed a piece of clothing from his back pack and an altercation ensued. During this time, the victim was sprayed with a sensory irritant.
He was treated onscene and there were no serious injuries reported. The suspects were not located but are described as:
- White male, unknown age, 5’6” tall with buzzed hair and top bun.
- White male, 6’, slim build and medium brown hair.
- White male, dark hair in a ponytail, 30-40 years old, medium to heavy build, baseball cap with black Puma logo, orange/red sweatshirt, black shorts, white socks, white flip flops.
