Police issue 75 tickets for speeding and other vehicle offences
Halifax Regional Police issued 75 tickets for speeding and other motor vehicle-related offences over the last two days.
Members from the HRP Traffic Unit issued 75 summary offence tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday: 22 for speeding and 53 for other offences including no insurance, expired plates, using a cell phone, tinted windows and failed safety inspections.
Officers spent time in the areas of Old Sambro Road, Coburg Road and Vernon Street in Halifax as well as Portland Street in Dartmouth in relation to community concerns.
In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.
