Rainfall warning in effect via Environment Canada
Rain, heavy at times is expected.
Total rainfall: 30 to 60 mm.
Locations: Halifax county and much of southwestern Nova Scotia.
Time span: beginning Thursday morning and continuing into Friday.
Remarks: Periods of rain will develop over southwestern Nova Scotia early on Thursday and are expected to persist into Friday, As the system responsible stalls on Friday, rain could potentially persist even longer over eastern parts of the province, and rainfall warnings will likely be expanded eastward as the situation continues to evolve.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
