It’s World Wildlife Day!
Every year there is a theme, this year it is Forests and Livelihoods: people and the planet.
Forests are a vital part of our ecosystem. Not only do they provide food, shelter and more to so many species of flora and fauna worldwide but they also provide us with oxygen, store carbon, and provide us with the materials needed for tools and shelter.
Some of the many things that you can do to help the forests are:
– use less paper. Print things double sided, ask for the electronic copy of your receipt if given the option
– switch to audio books instead of the hard copy or rent books from the library
– and of course, plant trees!!
