Mi’kma’ki Grassroots Grandmothers are conducting a Water Bundle Ceremony at Dartmouth Cove, Dartmouth
We will dmeet in the parking lot at the end of Maitland Street.
Together we will respect the Mi’kmaw tradition of praying and offering gratitude to the water and the land. “Water is connected to all the lands” Dorene Bernard.
Performed with respect to the water, the land, our self, the Creator and our Ancestors.
We ask women/girls who are attending who would like to participate in the ceremony to wear a long skirt.
All are welcome.
Ceremony protocols for women will be observed. If you do not know these, please ask.
May 26th:
10:30 AM: Water Bundle Ceremony. End of Maitland Street.
Followed by clean up. Clean up kits provided by “Great Nova Scotia Pick Me Up.”
Signs will be available to purchase.
We hope to see you there.
