Update; Dartmouth man facing charges following single vehicle collision
A 26-year-old man from Dartmouth is facing charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance contrary to section 320.14 (1) (a) of the Criminal Code and Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance contrary to section 320.13 (1) of the Criminal Code following a single vehicle collision earlier today on Windmill Road in Dartmouth.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. police responded to a vehicle that had struck the McDonald’s restaurant located at 645 Windmill Road in Dartmouth.
The vehicle struck the building and came to rest inside the restaurant striking a person who was seated inside. The patron inside the restaurant was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was released on an appearance notice and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.

Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred earlier this afternoon in Dartmouth.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. police responded to a vehicle that had struck the McDonald’s restaurant located at 645 Windmill Road in Dartmouth. The vehicle struck the building and came to rest inside the restaurant striking a person who was seated inside. The patron inside the restaurant was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver has been arrested and the incident remains under investigation. Further information will be provided when it becomes available.
