Special weather statement in effect
Accumulating snow is expected for the start of the weekend.
Total snowfall: 10 to 20 cm.
Locations: southern half of Nova Scotia.
Time span: Friday night until Saturday afternoon.
Remarks: Snow will likely begin spreading across western Nova Scotia Friday afternoon, and then across the rest of the province Friday night. The snow will taper off during the day Saturday. Latest forecast guidance suggest that accumulations of 10 to 20 cm are possible. Note that as this system is still in early stages of development, the situation may change and it will continue to be closely monitored as it approaches in the event warnings may be required.
