What’s new on Wyse Road?

Wyse Road is an important part of our All Ages and Abilities (AAA) network, connecting the MacDonald Bridge bikeway to Dartmouth Common, North end Dartmouth, and beyond!

They’re new to the province and look like regular traffic signals, but smaller and have a bicycle icon within the light.

Drivers follow standard traffic lights and cyclists follow bicycle traffic lights.

Noticing green markings on Wyse Road? This shows all road users the placement of bicycles.

See what looks like a green painted crosswalk? That’s for bicycles only, to allow them to travel directly to the bridge.

The pedestrian crossing at the Macdonald Bridge onto Wyse Road has been shortened by 25 metres.

If you’re driving, note the “No Right Turn on Red” signage now in place at the Wyse / Nantucket, Wyse / Thistle, and Wyse / Boland intersections.
