Update: The two men arrested yesterday in relation to the Brandon Polegato homicide have been released without charges. The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are asking anyone with information about his murder to contact police.
Police arrest two men in relation to homicide
Police have arrested two men in relation to the homicide of Brandon Polegato.
Earlier this afternoon investigators from the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested two men, one in Halifax and the other in Dartmouth, in relation to the February 7 homicide of Brandon Polegato.
On February 7, 2021 at approximately 8:50 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call at an address in the 600 block of Washmill Lake Drive in Halifax. Officers located Brandon who had succumbed to gunshot injuries.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has ruled Brandon’s death a homicide. Investigators believe that Brandon’s homicide was a not a random act
