Advisory: All HRCE Schools and Offices Closed
All HRCE schools and offices are closed today.
Today’s decision was based on the following information:
Forecast throughout HRM calling for up to 15 cm of snow and ice pellets prior to noon before transitioning to heavy rain in the afternoon;
Visibility on roads will be significantly impacted throughout the morning and road conditions are expected to be poor throughout the day;
Winds along the coast will be 60 km/h, gusting to 95 km/h through the day;
Due to the timing and accumulation of snow, snow clearing during school hours will be severely impacted.

Due to weather, all branches and departments of Halifax Public Libraries are delaying opening until 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 2.
