Police Investigate Break & Enter and Arrest Suspect

At 1:44 a.m., on the 21st of January, Halifax Regional Police and Sackville RCMP and a Police Service Dog responded to an alarm at the Bedford Education Centre, 1658 Bedford Highway, Bedford.​

Upon arrival officers observed an adult male leaving a business dropping items with visible lacerations to his hands.​ At 1:54 a.m., the male was arrested for Break & Enter.​ Officers and a Police Service Dog cleared the mall confirming there were no other suspects inside.​ Officers confirmed the suspect entered through an insecure door and once inside stole a bag with a laptop belonging to an employee.​

A 33 year old male from Dorchester was released on Conditions and is facing the following Criminal Code charges; Break & Enter, Theft and Possession Under $5000.​ The male was checked and by EHS paramedics.

The address of the Break and Enter is 1658 Bedford Highway, the location of the break and enter is the Bedford Education Centre which is located within, the Bedford Place Mall.
