Police charge man and woman after search of Halifax residence

Police have charged a man and a woman with drug-related offences after conducting a search of a residence in Halifax.

Yesterday, members of the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by West Division patrol officers, conducted a search warrant at a residence on Ford Street in Halifax. Officers arrested a man and a woman inside the residence without incident and seized quantities of cocaine and other drugs, drug paraphernalia and a quantity of cash.

A 50-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both of Halifax, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face three counts each of possession for the purposes of trafficking and one count each of possession of a controlled substance. The 50-year-old man is also facing one count of failing to comply with conditions.
