Product description: This recall involves the Yamaha Digital Wireless Relay with the following identification numbers:

The serial number is located on both the transmitter and the receiver.

Hazard identified: For the wireless relay, the lithium-ion battery can overheat posing a potential risk of property damage and personal injury. For the USB cable, the cable may apply too much current to the transmitter causing the relay battery to overheat, posing a fire hazard. As of March 10, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 4 reports of incidents and 0 reports of injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected relays and update them using the latest firmware. Consumers with the G10T USB Cable should contact Yamaha Guitar Group for a refund.
