UPDATE: RCMP officers have safely taken the man into custody. Investigators will remain on Montague Rd. to continue with the investigation.
UPDATE – RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment with the assistance of Halifax Regional Police is in LoonLake on Montague Rd. responding to a situation involving a person who has barricaded themselves inside a home
At this time, there is no immediate threat to anyone outside the home. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of the person inside the home and our officers. Please avoid the area to allow officers to do their work.
There is a large police presence in the Montague Rd. area of Loon Lake in relation to an ongoing investigation
Officers are asking the public to avoid the area to allow investigators to do their work. We will provide updates as we have more information.
