The Nova Scotia ACORN Society held a rally in Dartmouth, calling for better government action against slum lords. The following is their event information:
“The tenants at Nivens Ave. have been in unsafe, and substandard conditions for TOO LONG!
The landlords have neglected their properties and failed to maintain basic standards of living – the city needs to STEP IN and hold them accountable!
The tenants demand the city hold these landlords to minimum standards and come in and do these repairs, and stop harassing tenants!”
