A familiar face has returned to Russell Lake, and many more will be back soon!
Nothing screams “spring is here” as NS official birds, the fishing Osprey, begun to return home to their familiar nests. These migratory birds winter as far away as Mexico before coming home to mate and raise their young across the maritimes.
Possibly Oscar, Russell Lake may be the first local nest re-established. He will work to spruce up the nest in preparation for his mates return, Ethel.
