Product description: This recall involves the SafePlug Model 1202 Controlled Duplex-Receptacle with ZigBee Smart Energy Profile (SEP). The affected product is used to monitor and manage energy use and has remote control applications. The model number affected by this recall is 1202-9962. A CSA 23670 certification mark can be found on the back of the product.
Hazard identified: The device may overheat causing charring to the internal components, posing a fire and burn hazard. As of May 1, 2020, the company has received 5 report of overheating, and no reports of injuries in Canada.
