Update: Charges laid in Hammonds Plains homicide
Charges have been laid in a homicide that occurred on April 2 at a home on Glen Arbour Way. Stephen Beckett, 45, of Hammonds Plains has been charged with Second Degree Murder in relation to the death of a woman.
The investigation is continuing and is being led by the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.

The RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a homicide in Hammonds Plains.
At approximately 2:40 p.m.,on April 2, Halifax District RCMP were called to a suspicious death at a home on Glen Arbour Way.
A woman was found deceased in the home. A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident.
The investigation is continuing and is being led by the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
