Police seek susoect after gas station robbed by knife wielding man

At 02:56 a.m., Halifax Regional Police were dispatched to 389 Bedford Highway, Halifax, the Birch Cove Irving, for a robbery in progress. Suspect used a knife in the commission of the offence. No injuries.

Suspect described as a white male, shaved head, blue hat, Brooklyn NY sweater, grey khakis, and blue/brown boots. Suspect also had a grey face mask, described as homemade non-medical grade, and clear plastic gloves. Suspect took cartons of cigarettes/filled old Sobey’s bag w/ cash from till. Suspect last seen leaving area on foot, heading towards the Wedgewood Motel.

Multiple police units  assisted with the scene containment and search of suspect including K9 tracking. Residents in the area were asked to avoid the area, while search was being conducted.
