Police investigate after car with suspected bullet holes set ablaze at Dartmouth High

On April, 13, 2020 at 0330 am a call was received of a vehicle fire on the grounds of Dartmouth High School at 95 Victoria Rd, Dartmouth.​

Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service responded.​ When police and fire arrived the vehicle was fully engulfed and it appeared to have struck the school.​ After the fire was extinguished and examination of the vehicle suggested the fire was deliberately set.​

Officers also discovered what is believed to be bullet holes in the engine bonnet of the vehicle.​ There was minimal damage to the school as a result of the incident.​ The vehicle was discovered to have been stolen over night when police made contact with the owner.

Halifax Regional Police is asking anyone that may have witnessed anyone in the area around the time of the fire or anyone that may have information regarding the origin of the possible bullet holes to contact police at 902-490-5020 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222TIPS (8477).
