Police investigate vehicle-pedestrian collision
Police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Halifax this morning.
At approximately 8 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision in the area of Larry Uteck Boulevard and Kearney Lake Road. A 77-year-old woman was crossing Larry Uteck Blvd in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle.
The woman was transported to the hospital with what area believed to be serious injuries.
The 52-year-old driver was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian while in a crosswalk, which carries a fine of $697.50

The northbound lane of Larry Uteck Blvd., from Amesbury Gate to Kearney Lake Road, is closed. Traffic is being diverted onto Amesbury Gate.
