Police Investigate Weapons Call
One man is in custody following a weapons call in Bedford earlier today.
On February 16, 2020 at 9:43 a.m., Police responded to a report of a man in possession of a firearm inside a residence in the 600 block of Rocky Lake Dr. in Bedford. Officers blocked traffic on Rocky Lake Dr. and were in the process of advising nearby residences when the man exited the residence unarmed and was taken into custody without incident.
The 39-year-old man was wanted on an unrelated warrant and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court Tuesday morning in relation to the warrant.
Officers remain on scene on Rocky Lake Dr. to continue the investigation.
Rocky Lake Dr. was closed to traffic for the duration of this incident but has since re-opened to all traffic.
