The Nova Scotia SPCA was awarded a three-year contract to provide Animal and Shelter Services to the Halifax Regional Municipality beginning May 1, 2020.

The municipality awarded a three-year contract with the option to renew for an additional two years to the Nova Scotia SPCA. The SPCA is the largest provider of shelter, bylaw, and animal control enforcement in Nova Scotia serving 20 municipalities from Yarmouth to Cape Breton.
