Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Dartmouth

On February 22, 2020 at approximately 3:00 a.m. Halifax Regional Police received a 911 call from a witness who reported observing a male in the area holding a knife.

The male appeared to be in a verbal dispute with another male in the area of True North Crescent and Highfield Park Drive, Dartmouth.

When Police were in the area looking for the men they located a 26-year old Dartmouth man suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound to his neck. Police believe this is related to the original call. The male was transported to hospital for treatment. The suspect has not been located.

The suspect and victim are believed to be known to one another.

The investigation is ongoing and a detailed description of the suspect is not yet available.
