International FireFighters’ Day (IFFD) – Monday, May 4
International Firefighter’s Day is a time where the community of the world recognise and honour the sacrifices of the firefighter’s who make their communities and environment safe as possible.
This day is to remember those firefighter’s who have died while serving our community or dedicated their lives to protecting the safety of us all. Also, it is the time to show appreciation and support to the firefighter’s world wide who continue to protect us so well throughout the year.
Due to the current devastating Covid-19 and physical distancing rules, the traditional methods of recognising and thanking our heroic firefighters such as by parades, memorial services, open days and station visits are understandably not possible this year.
THANK YOU for your service to your Community.
