Homeowner catches thief in his shed and chases him out

At 1:23 a.m, February 8, Halifax District RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter in progress on Chaswood Dr. in Cole Harbour.

The homeowner told police their shed door was open, and it shouldn’t be. When the homeowner went to check it out, they found a man inside, described as male, 6-feet tall, with medium build, wearing a toque, a balaclava, and a large black puffy jacket. The homeowner yelled at the suspect, who fled the area on foot. When the homeowner examined the contents of the shed, several items were missing, including an expensive bicycle, several large tools, and some tool chests.

Halifax District RCMP is asking for help from the public about this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020.
