Don’t leave your keys in your vehicle!
On February 5, Shelburne RCMP responded to a call of a stolen vehicle. The caller reported a silver 2012 Chevrolet Silverado was taken from the driveway of a residence in Shelburne. The vehicle had a 1/4 tank of gas in it and the keys were in the it when it was taken. It’s a regular cab, 2-wheel drive truck with an 8-foot box. A sticker with the logo of a local baseball team, the Bashers, was on the back window.
This is the second incident of a vehicle being stolen in Shelburne where the keys were left inside. Owners are asked to secure their belongings, and remove any items of value from their vehicles when the vehicle is unattended.
Shelburne RCMP is asking for help from the public about this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-875-2490.
