Police charge man for robbery

Police have charged a man for a robbery that occurred last night in Dartmouth.

At approximately 11:55 p.m. a man armed with a knife entered the Irving gas station at 200 Waverley Road in Dartmouth. He demanded money from the cashier but did not obtain any and fled the area in a car. Officers located the car in the 100 block of Windmill Road and located the man in the area and took him into custody without incident.

Kevin Mulligan, 55, of Dartmouth, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court to face charges of:

  • Attempted robbery
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats
  • Possession of a weapon

On June 23, 2020 at approximately 11:55pm a lone male entered a business in the 200 block of the Waverly Rd in Dartmouth.

The male produced a knife but was unsuccessful in obtaining anything from the staff member.​ The suspect left in a car and was subsequently located in the 100 block of Windmill Road. ​

An adult male was taken into custody without incident, to appear in front of the court later today.
