A message from Chief MacNeil on behalf of the Truro Police Service
The police actions in Minneapolis, USA, that took the life of George Floyd are unacceptable and should never have happened. The historic and ongoing racism towards individuals and communities needs to stop.
From this tragedy, there is an opportunity to come together as a community for meaningful dialogue, and to confront racism and bias. Now is not the time to be silent.
As a police agency, we will work to improve and do better. We are committed to carrying out our work in an inclusive, professional, and respectful manner.
