**** RCMP Media Release

Cst. Heidi Stevenson’s name was unveiled on the Wall of Honour at Nova Scotia RCMP Headquarters in Dartmouth during a private ceremony for family and invited guests.

Etched in stone on the granite memorial wall of the Nova Scotia RCMP Headquarters are the names of those Nova Scotia RCMP members who left us too soon.

This is a solemn and constant reminder of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

In front of the wall, the bronze statue of a lone member with his head bowed to show his remembrance and grief. His Stetson and gloves at his feet signify they belonged to a member who is no longer able to wear them and is not with us physically; however, remains with us in mind and in spirit.

As an additional tribute to Heidi, the fitness centre at our Nova Scotia Headquarters has been named the Stevenson Fitness and Physical Activity Centre. Heidi’s name and regimental number are now proudly displayed within the centre, where we will continue to honour her bravery, dedication and service.
