RCMP officers have safely arrested the man who had barricaded himself inside a home.
There is no longer a need for residents to seek shelter or stay inside.

RCMPNS has taken the man into custody safely.
The emergency alert is now cancelled. There is no longer a need for the public to seek shelter or stay inside. The highway and roads are now open.
We’d like to thank the public for their cooperation as officers worked toward a peaceful resolution. Officers remain on scene to continue with the investigation.
