Traffic Delay – Lucasville Road
Location: Lucasville Road at the bridge over the Sackville River
Date: Monday, May 6 until early 2025
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is to facilitate the rehabilitation of the Lucasville Bridge. This is in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Temporary traffic signals will be installed to control traffic flow through the work site as work progresses on the Lucasville Bridge rehabilitation project. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Akerley Boulevard
Location: Rail crossing on Akerley Boulevard near Mosher Drive
Date: Sunday, Dec. 15
Time: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Work details: CN crews will be performing maintenance work on tracks near the rail crossing at Akerley Boulevard.
Traffic impact: A lane drop will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – St Margarets Bay Road
Location: St Margarets Bay Road, from Maplewood Drive to Brentwood Avenue
Date: Saturday, Dec. 14
Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work includes asphalt repair, in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Intersection of Almon and Robie streets
Date: Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15
Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work includes asphalt repair, in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Road Closure – Almon Street
Location: Almon Street, from Robie to Windsor streets
Date: Monday, Dec. 16 and Tuesday, Dec. 17
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: This work is for paving, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: A signed detour will be in place while work is underway. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist local traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Partial Road Closure – Chebucto Road
Location: Chebucto Road, from North to Windsor streets
Date: Saturday, Dec. 14 until Friday, Dec. 20 (excluding Sunday, Dec. 15)
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Work details: This work includes road repairs in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: There will be a one-way closure on Chebucto Road between North and Windsor streets. Vehicles will be able to travel west on Chebucto Road. A detour onto North Street will be in place for vehicles travelling east. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Traffic Delay – Bedford Highway
Location: Bedford Highway, from Flamingo Drive to Bayview Road
Date: Saturday, Dec. 14
Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
Work details: This work includes road repairs in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: An altered centreline and two-way traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Traffic Delay – Windsor Street
Location: Windsor Street from Connaught Avenue to Maxwell Avenue
Date: Friday, Dec. 13 and Monday, Dec. 16
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work includes road repair, in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. There will be a one-way closure from Strawberry Hill Street to Connaught Avenue outbound on Monday, Dec. 16. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Street Closure – Robie Street
Location: Robie Street between Veterans Memorial Lane and Bell Road
Date: Monday, Dec. 16 to Thursday, Dec. 19
Time: 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Work details: This closure is in support of gas service installation for the QEII project.
Traffic impact: Robie Street northbound lanes will be closed. A signed detour will be in place with pedestrian access maintained. Drivers should expect delays and use alternative routes.

Traffic Delay – Jubilee Road
Location: Jubilee Road between Edward and Robie streets
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 11 to Friday, Dec. 20
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is to support the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project.
Traffic impact: The westbound lane will be closed. The southbound right turn lane at the intersection of Jubilee Road and Robie Street will be closed. Drivers should expect delays and use alternative routes where possible.

Traffic Delay – Highway 111
Location: Highway 111, between MacKintosh Street Bridge and Windsor Street
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 4 to Friday, Dec. 13
Time: 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily
Work details: This work is to facilitate borehole and test hole drilling in support of Windsor Street Exchange Redevelopment Project.
Traffic impact: Various lane drops will be in place along Highway 111.

Traffic Delay – Flamingo Drive
Location: 8 Flamingo Drive to 12 Flamingo Drive
Date: Tuesday, Dec. 3 to Tuesday, Dec. 24 (weekdays only)
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is for natural gas pipeline installation and street restoration.
Traffic impact: There will be a lane closure with stop-and-go traffic. There will be a sidewalk closure with a temporary sidewalk to maintain access for pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and take alternative routes.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Kenwood Drive, Sydney River
Kenwood Drive from Oceanview Drive to Kings Road is closed for construction of a roundabout until Sunday, December 15.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River
The Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.
The detours are Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 366
A section of Route 366 is closed because of a culvert failure. Only local traffic is allowed from East Amherst to Port Howe. A detour is available via Trunk 6.
Work continues until Saturday, December 14.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford / Lower Sackville
Highway 102 near Exit 4C has regular lane closures and construction in both directions until further notice, for construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 interchange.
Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the northbound lanes and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the southbound lanes. Traffic control is on-site. Both lanes will be open in the evening and overnight.
Motorists should expect delays and should use alternative routes when possible.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111 (Windsor Street Exchange), Halifax
Construction on the structure over Mackintosh Street will continue until further notice.
Traffic control is on-site.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
The Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
