Traffic Delay – Canada Day Parade in Halifax

Location: Beginning and ending at Scotiabank Centre on Carmichael Street

Date: Monday, July 1

Time: 10 to 11 a.m.

Details: This is to facilitate the Canada Day parade in Halifax.

 

Traffic impact: The parade will begin at the Scotiabank Centre on Carmichael Street, move south on Brunswick Street, west on Spring Garden Road, move north on South Park Street, east on Sackville Street, continue north onto Brunswick Street and finish on Carmichael Street.

Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the parade route. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Canada Day Parade in Lower Sackville

Location: Beginning at Downsview Drive and ending at Rock Church (222 Sackville Drive)

Date: Monday, July 1

Time: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Details: This is to facilitate the Canada Day parade in Sackville.

 

Traffic impact: The parade will begin at the Downsview mall entrance, turn down Sackville Drive and finish at the Rock Church (222 Sackville Drive).

Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the parade route. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Canada Day Parade in North Preston

Location: Beginning and ending at North Preston Community Centre

Date: Monday, July 1

Time: 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Details: This is to facilitate the Canada Day parade in North Preston.

 

Traffic impact: The parade will begin at the North Preston Community Centre, turn east on Simmonds Road, south on North Preston Road, move onto Johnson Road, turn onto Clarence Street, move onto Cain Street, north on North Preston Road, west onto Simmonds Road and finish at the North Preston Community Centre.

Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the parade route. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Children’s Parade in Lakeview

Location: Beginning on Lakeview Road and ending at Lakeview Park

Date: Monday, July 1

Time: 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Details: This is to facilitate the Children’s Parade in Lakeview.

 

Traffic impact: The parade will begin at the Halifax Regional Ground Search and Rescue on Lakeview Road, turn onto Third Avenue and finish at Lakeview Park.

Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the parade route. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
