Happy Friday the 13th!
Today is an ominous day for many, with the superstition of bad luck coming your way heavy on the minds of many.
According to National Geographic Kids, the exact origins of when Friday the 13th became thought of as unlucky are unknown, however it “likely comes from the Christian religion.”
Superstitions come in all forms. Some believe black cats bring misfortune, some say harm will be done to your mothers back by stepping on sidewalk cracks. Many superstuons seem to revolve around bad luck, and with the Canadian penny being discontinued years ago, few seem to restore or enhance good luck!
