Traffic Delay – Lucasville Road
Location: Lucasville Road at the bridge over the Sackville River
Date: Monday, May 6 until early 2025
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is to facilitate the rehabilitation of the Lucasville Bridge. This is in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Temporary traffic signals will be installed to control traffic flow through the work site as work progresses on the Lucasville Bridge rehabilitation project. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Hornes Road Bridge
Location: Hornes Road Bridge, between Cow Bay Road and Caldwell Road
Date: July 2, 2024 to November 2024
Time: 24/7
Work details: This closure is to facilitate the rebuilding of the bridge.
Traffic impact: A signed detour will be in place.
Halifax Transit will be re-routed and the following stops will be closed:

Work details: This work is to support the installation of a natural gas pipeline installation and right of way restoration.
Traffic impact: Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times during traffic disruption. Peak hour traffic restrictions on the street must be followed.

Location: Bauer Street, from Cogswell to Nora Bernard streets
Date: Tuesday, Sept. 17
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work includes road repair on Bauer Street in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: There will be a lane drop on Cogswell Street from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and stop-and-go traffic on Nora Bernard Street from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: University Avenue, from Robie Street to Summer Street
Date: Monday, Sept. 23 to Friday, Oct. 11

Work details: This work is to facilitate in street service installations for the IWK Health Centre.
Traffic impact: Traffic control personnel will be on site to guide motorists and pedestrians through the work area. Motorists should expect delays and are asking to use alternative routes wherever possible.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Sluice Bridge, East Bay
Sluice Bridge on Chapel Road will be closed for repairs from Monday, September 16, until Friday, October 4.
A detour is in place via Route 216/Trunk 4.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Kenwood Drive, Sydney River
Kenwood Drive from Oceanview Drive to Kings Road is closed for construction of a roundabout until Saturday, September 28.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River
Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.
The detours are Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
The northbound side of the Salmon River Bridge on Highway 102, between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane for bridge work. The northbound left lane will be closed 24 hours a day. The expected completion date is Tuesday, October 29.
Traffic control is on-site, and signs are posted.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 366
A section of Route 366 is closed because of a culvert failure. Only local traffic is allowed from East Amherst to Port Howe. A detour is available via Trunk 6.
Work continues until Monday, September 30.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford / Lower Sackville
Highway 102 near Exit 4C has regular lane closures and construction in both directions until Saturday, September 28, for construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 interchange.
Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the northbound lanes and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the southbound lanes. Traffic control is on-site. Both lanes will be open in the evening and overnight.
Motorists should expect delays and should use alternative routes when possible.
