Weapon charges and seized​ handguns​

On August 27​ at​ 2:14 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Young Street in Halifax to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle, and the vehicle had fled the scene.

Officers located a woman suffering from non-life threatening injuries and another​ car that was also hit by the run vehicle. Following a short investigation, the three occupants of the hit vehicle were arrested​ by officers. One of the occupants attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers at the scene.

Two loaded handguns, knives, a quantity of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle.

The pedestrian was treated at the scene. The run vehicle is described as a gold colored SUV and it hasn’t been located.

24-year-old Nathaniel Dominic White of Halifax is being held in custody and is facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession of weapon dangerous
  • Possession of a firearm without license
  • Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to order
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of probation x2
  • Fail to comply with release order

26-year-old Decoda Levon White of Halifax is​ being held in custody and is facing the following charges:​ ​ ​ ​

  • Resist Arrest
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of a firearm without license
  • Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
  • Unlawfully carrying a firearm
  • Fail to comply with release order

20-year-old Mariam Al-Husseini​ of Halifax is being held in custody and is facing the following charges:​

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of a firearm without license
  • Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
  • Unlawfully carrying a firearm
