UPDATE: Man wanted on province-wide arrest warrant has been arrested
Desmond Herman Bernard, 28, who was wanted out of Wagmatcook on a province-wide arrest warrant has been arrested.
Bernard is being held in custody, pending a court appearance.
The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance and shares on social media.
Victoria County District RCMP is seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.
The warrant has been issued after Victoria County District RCMP responded to an attempted home invasion involving a firearm on June 10, shortly after 5 a.m., in Wagmatcook.
Desmond Herman Bernard, 28, of Wagmatcook, is wanted for Forcible Entry, Use of a Firearm while Committing an Indictable Offence, Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited, Commit an Indictable Offence while Wearing a Mask, and two counts of Failing to Comply with Probation Order.
Bernard is described as 6-foot-2, 238 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators have made several attempts to locate Bernard, and are requesting assistance from the public.
