Big hearts, big accomplishment and big success as the 26 campers from this year’s Camp Courage graduated in front of family, friends, and a slew of very proud councillors today in Bedford.

With a simulation to show off their new skills, the campers broke into their elements and took on a car accident similation where a driver created havoc resulting in a multiple victim scenario.

Police secured the scene and arrested the driver for suspected impaired driving while fire secured a possible HAZMAT scene and dealing with a possible vehicle fire, making the scene secure for paramedics to work their magic with triage, treatment and transportation.

After, they did some interactive / demonstration with the crowd explaining a few tricks of their trade.

After, a proud moment as the campers were able to address the crowd explaining then and now and receiving their official certificates. Several forms campers, now in roles within first responders, addressed the crowd and campers.
