On July 5, at approximately 5:30 a.m., three suspects broke into a business on Hwy. 2 in Fort Lawrence. The suspects used a white side-by-side to ram the gate, breaking the lock and fence, to gain entry.

Two of the suspects then loaded a 2022 Kubota Lawn Tractor onto a trailer, while the third suspect remained in the side-by-side. The suspects then fled the scene.

That same day, the lawn tractor and trailer were recovered in a wooded area, near a trail, just across the border into New Brunswick.
