Note: Each week the local listings are expanded and updated. During the week new and updated tasks are added. Every week a new post is started with fresh info but previous posts may be still valid.

Traffic Delay – Wright Avenue
Location: Wright Avenue, between Williams Avenue and Finlay Drive
Date: Sunday, June 11 to Friday, June 30
Time: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day (including weekends)
Work details: This work is to facilitate asphalt repair, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Public Service Announcement
Road Closure – Upper Water Street
Location: Upper Water Street at Duke Street (in front of Historic Properties)
Date: Friday, June 9 to Monday, June 12 Saturday, June 10 to Monday, June 12
Time: 9 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday June 12 7 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday
Work details: This is the third of several closures along this segment to allow for the installation of new sidewalk, bike lanes, and asphalt in front of Historic Properties. This work is in support of the Cogswell District project.
Traffic impact: Residents will be directed around the construction area by signs and traffic control personnel. A marked detour will be in place from Upper Water and Duke streets to Upper Water and Barrington streets, near the Baton Rouge restaurant.
Northbound vehicular traffic on Upper Water Street will be detoured west at Duke Street to Barrington Street. Transport trucks travelling northbound will detour at Lower Water Street moving west on Morris Street.
Cyclists will be required to share the road with vehicular traffic and follow the detour signs in place. Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes.

Road Closure – Glenwood Drive
Location: Glenwood Drive
Date: Wednesday, June 7 to Friday, June 23
Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday
Work details: Road closures will be in place to facilitate road construction.
Traffic impact: Glenwood Drive will be closed between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and will reopen weekday evenings (after 7 p.m.) and weekends (Saturday to Sunday). Local street access and pedestrian access will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Bell Road
Location: Bell Road between Cogswell Street and Trollope Street
Dates: Wednesday, June 7 to Thursday, June 8
Time: 2 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. Thursday
Work Details: This delay is to facilitate the safe trenching and maneuvering of equipment for work related to the new Halifax Commons Aquatic Facility.
Traffic Impact: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Wednesday, June 7 to Thursday, June 8.

Location: Finlay Drive, between Wright Avenue and Commodore Drive
Date: Sunday, June 4 to Friday, June 16
Time: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 245, Maryvale
Starting Monday, June 5, Route 245, at the Old Maryvale Road intersection, will be open to local traffic only for replacement of three culverts. Work is expected to continue until July 21.
A detour is in place.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: James A. Gillis Bridge, Grand Mira
James A. Gillis Bridge on Grand Mira South Road will be closed for repairs from June 6 to June 30.
The detour route will be on Grand Mira North Road.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Caledonia Marydale Road, Marydale
Caledonia Marydale Road will be open to local traffic only for replacement of a culvert until June 30.
A detour is in place.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 105, North Sydney
The intersection of Highway 105 and Tobin Road is reduced to one lane for roadwork until July 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until October, due to work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fountain Road, South Middleboro
Fountain Road, between Hunter Road and Simmonds Road, is closed for removal and replacement of the Howard Bridge until October 31.
Traffic will be detoured from Fountain Road via Simmonds Road and Keers Mill Road. Vehicles more than four metres wide need to plan an alternate route due to the width of structures on the detour route.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, has lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

RICHMOND COUNTY: West Bay Road, Port Hawkesbury
West Bay Road, from Nature Dream Boulevard, easterly for 3.8 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until September 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105, South Haven
Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30, easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until June 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
