Police charge man and woman for possessing stolen property

Police have charged a man and a woman in relation to a search of a residence where stolen property was recovered.

Yesterday police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle on Mont Blanc Terrace. Sometime in the overnight hours of November 23 several vehicles were broken into and property was stolen. Through the course of the investigation officers were able to locate suspects at a residence in Halifax. A search of the residence was conducted and two people were arrested without incident. Property from the thefts were seized along with other items believed to be stolen in relation to additional incidents.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to investigate and are attempting to locate the property owners.

Jessie William White, 28, and Shauna Marie Anne O’Brien, 40, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face five counts each of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count each of possession of a restricted weapon.

White is also being charged with failing to obey a court order.
