Inverness County District RCMP investigating serious vehicle collision
Inverness County District RCMP is investigating a serious vehicle collision that occurred on Hwy. 19 in Craigmore.
On May 18, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Inverness County District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a collision between two SUVs on Hwy. 19 in Craigmore. RCMP officers learned that the SUVs had been travelling in opposite directions, when they collided head on.
The driver and sole occupant of a red Ford Escape, a 52-year-old Judique woman, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital by Lifeflight.
The driver of a blue Mazda CX-5, a 68-year-old Point Cross man, suffered minor injuries. He was treated and released at the scene. The passenger of the blue Mazda CX-5, a 72-year-old Point Cross woman, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital by Lifeflight.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 19 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
