**** Via Truro Police
On January 24, 2025, at approximately 8:11 pm, the Truro Police Service responded to a report that a male had been stabbed at a residence on Ford Street in Truro.
On arriving, patrol officers located a 33-year-old male with serious injury and quickly rendered life saving first aid. The male victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
A 26-year-old female was arrested on scene without incident. She is charged with attempted murder and violation of a court order prohibiting her to have contact with the victim from a previous case.
The accused will be remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.
The Truro Police Service Criminal Investigation Division and the Truro Police Service Forensic Identification Section have taken the lead on this investigation of Intimate Partner Violence.
The name of the accused is being withheld until their first court appearance. The matter is still under investigation and further charges are possible.
