Police charge two men in two separate robberies in Halifax

There are two incidents to report​ ​

1)​ Police charge man for robbery

Police have charged a man for a robbery that occurred in Halifax last night.

At approximately 10:01 p.m. police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Bishops Cellar located at 1477 Lower Water St.​ ​ ​ A man entered the establishment and announced he had a firearm however no firearm was seen.​ ​ The man left empty-handed and fled the area on foot.

Officers arrested the suspect a short distance from the establishment.​ No staff members or members of the public where injured during the incident.
Wayne Nettleton (46 years old), is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of robbery.

2)​ Police charge man for robbery

Police have charged a man for a robbery that occurred in Halifax late last night.

At approximately 12:11 a.m.​ ​ police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Needs Convenience Store located at 33 Hearing Cove Rd.​ A man entered the store and presented a firearm and demanded cash.​ ​
The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and the area on foot.

Officers arrested the suspect a short distance from the store and no one was injured during the incident.​ ​
Evin MacLean (32 years old)​ is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of robbery with a firearm.
