Police request the public’s assistance in a hit and run investigation

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the driver involved in a hit and run that occurred in Bedford last month.

On January 28 at approximately 8:20 p.m. police responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in the area of Lodge Drive and Bedford Highway. Upon arrival, officers located a youth laying on the ground but conscious. The youth was transported to the hospital for treatment of what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle involved is described as a white SUV, possibly a Mazda CX-5.
