Police investigate homicide

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has ruled a shooting on Sunday morning a homicide.

On January 19 at approximately 2:50 a.m., officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Lahey Road and Clarence Street in Dartmouth.

Officers located two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 30-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were both transported to hospital by Emergency Health Services where the man died of his injuries.

The female’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
