PUBLIC ADVISORY:
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is in the 1300 block of West Porters Lake Rd. responding to a situation where a man, believed to be armed, has barricaded himself inside a home. There is no one else inside the residence and no immediate threat to anyone outside of the home, however, officers have asked direct neighbours to stay inside their homes. West Porters Lake Rd. remains open, but motorists are asked to avoid, if possible.
